The second half of the Bistro schedule will feature debuts from the Bennett Wood Quartet, Utter Chaos and the Funky Butt Brass Band, as well as Bistro returns for Lamar Harris, Phil Dunlap's Legacy Jazz Quintet, the Jazz St. Louis All-Stars, Erin Bode and Kim Massie.

It was a packed house of 400 people at the Foundry Art Centre in St. Charles last night as Kim Massie performed for our first in a series of four Whitaker Community Concerts, presented by Jazz St. Louis and sponsored by American Family Insurance.

While perusing the internet yesterday, I looked to see if there were any video clips of Javon Jackson & Les McCann performing together. Naturally, I ran across a couple clips of Les doing "Compared to What" with Eddie Harris. I checked out one particular clip and noticed in the sidebar that there was video of Taylor Hicks doing the same song.

While the vibe at The Gramophone this Tuesday won't be near as hostile as the title of this blog post suggests, the music will be a no-holds-barred thrill ride that will have you coming back for more!
